Who We Are
Something Wild is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, conserving and researching animals in need. We manage a permitted wildlife rehabilitation program and 35 acres of wilderness habitat in rural Hancock County, Mississippi, with a special focus on the North American Beaver.
Our Mission
Through education, research and a permanent sanctuary, we provide safe homes for orphaned and injured beavers while protecting Mississippi's critical wetland ecosystems.
The Muraco family has dedicated their lives to animal rescue. Together with invaluable supporters and volunteers, we strive to rescue, rehabilitate, and release Mississippi's native wildlife.
